FAQ

Is it scary?

The Haunted Forest Ride, Bickford Oaks House of Nightmares and The Harris House of Terror are very frightening. Reality does not exist. Your nightmares will become your reality. What Ever You Fear Will Find You In Here!

But is it really scary?

How scared you get is up to you. Fear is relative. We do our part by providing hands down one of the scariest Halloween attractions in Ontario. Of course everyone has their own particular fear threshold. The best answer we can give is our repeat customer rate is very high.So we must be doing something right. Being scared is awesome fun!

Which is scarier The Haunted Forest Ride or Bickford Oaks House of Nightmares or The Harris House of Terror?

We’ve had some say each one is more scary than the other, but each one has its own scares and monsters and again everyone’s fear level is different.

We've had some say each one is more scary than the other, but each one has its own scares and monsters and again everyone's fear level is different.

If you don’t touch them they won’t grab you. Keep in mind this is a live show and does not always go according to plan! Of course, in the dark and tight areas, something may accidentally bump into you but our monsters will probably not grab you. You may be grabbed by one of the members of your own group who is too terrified to continue without your help.

What are the best attractions for the kids?

We reccommed the Haunted Forest Ride if you bring children under 10 years old,but it is totally up to the parent to make this decision. Remember there are no refunds if your child decides not to enter any one attraction after you have paid for your tickets.

What do you do for birthday parties?

Remember this is a weather permitting event and cannot guarantee we will be able to open every night so make sure you have a backup plan just in case. We provide the entertainment, you provide the kids. It’s as simple as that. We have several picnic tables available for your use for birthday cake, but I do suggest that you bring a cooler and keep it in your car as we have no place to keep it for you. The tables can not be reserved and are on a first come first serve basis.

Please note, due to insurance purposes no outside food/drink is allowed (with exception of the cake).

We do suggest to eliminate time in line for your group – it is suggested to arrive earlier than later.

Is there a discount for children?

No.

A child uses the same space in line, same seat on the Ride. In regards to the scare venues (if you decide to put your child through) the child will get the same scare activation as an adult, most children will be too scared to continue, it then takes a cast member to escort them to the exit. So actually we should charge more. But we do allow children 5 and under to enter all attractions for free when accompanied by an adult.

Is it healthy to get scared really bad?

It’s just like watching horror movies only Haunted attractions are just like the movies except YOU are in the movie with the ghouls jumping out at you. You will get scared but in the end it’s all fun and you’ll come out screaming, but you and your friends will laugh about it afterwards. Most everyone enjoys talking about their experience for years to come telling stories of how high you jumped or how fast you ran.

Can I get out if I want to?

The Ride No.

Once the bus starts moving you are on it till the end.
Haunted Houses there is time in the beginning but once the show starts.  For someone to leave and open a door to the daylight would ruin it for everyone else. So yes and no… in the beginning we give you the opportunity to leave after that – grab your friend and get them to help you get through…

If I get too scared to make it through any attraction can I get a refund?

No!

You paid us to scare you. If you get scared in the line or in the first few rooms and want to leave, we’ve done what you paid us to do very quickly. Be happy with the prompt service!

We suggest you arrive early. We open the last Saturday in September. Many people complain about long lines but everyone always shows up around 8/9pm near the end of October. Our suggestion is for you to come and buy your ticket when we open so you are one of the first in line. The closer it gets to Halloween the busier we are.

Or  SKIP THE ATTRACTION LINEUPS by purchasing a VIP Fast PASS ticket. We do not give refunds if you cannot wait in the lines we are a very popular attraction and only open a short season. Please dress warm, all who have waited have said the wait was worth it! We also have Live Bands every night we are open to entertain you while waiting in line.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

We do have a wheelchair accessible bus but it only accommidates one chair at a time. Also if you plan on coming and using this service please call ahead at least 24 hours in advance so we can have the bus ready for you when you arrive. The Haunted houses unfortunately are not wheelchair accessible. There are tight walkways and some stairs.

Are your attractions open if it rains?

Depending on how much rain we get. Keep in mind that if it is a light mist we will run but if it is pouring we will shut down. However it might be raining where you are at and it might not be raining here.

It is best to check our web site, Facebook and X pages or call ahead if the weather is threatning, Remember you are outside on a farm walking to the various venues so dress for the weather.

How long does it take to go through?

A good couple of hours to see everything – most venues are 10-15 min in length. But keep in mind as we get closer to Halloween there is some waiting at some of the venues, but the lines generally move quickly the way we’ve got things set up. Early in season an hour is usually what you’ll need. However, closer to end of season – there will be wait times, so please dress warm.

Do you sell food, beverages and souvenirs at your attraction?

We’ve been told we have some of the best food around.!  T-shirts, hats and Reapers Realm souvenirs can also be purchased at one of our gift booths or Vendors booths.

Can we take flash photos or movies in any one of the attractions?

Absolutely Not!

The attractions are dark and everyone especially the actor’s eyes adjust to the low light. When you flash your camera you’re not only ruining other customers’ experience but you’re hurting the actor’s eyes. Also no other recording devices are allowed (video camera’s etc.).
If you’d like to take pictures you are welcome to in any of the public areas outside of the attractions.

In addition, all cell phones must remain in the off position once you enter the attraction. Guests will be removed if disturbing others experience with cell phone lights. We are not responsible for lost cell phones.

Can I hit the actors, take the props, destroy the rooms, or come through the haunt drunk or stoned?

NO!

We Reserve the right to Refuse entry to anyone for any reason.

We do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, alcohol intoxication from alcohol or drugs and weapons of any kind, etc. We have a list of rules just like anyone else that must be adhered to for your own safety. Please go through the haunt in a civilized manner and everyone (including you) will have a great time.

Anyone not following our rules will be reported to security and removed from the property immediately with No refund of ticket price.

Are their discounts available?

Yes

For groups of 15 people and over we offer a $2.00 off per person for regular combo tickets only. There are no group discounts on VIP Fast Pass Tickets.

Can I bring my cell phone?

We ask that all cell phones be turned off. You will not hear them ring in the venues, nor do we imagine you’ll be talking on the phone during the “Haunt”. But be aware that we will NOT stop to look for lost cell phones or pagers (or most anything else). If we happen to find them, they will be available at the ticket window as soon as they are turned in.

Can I wear a costume?

You may wear any costume you wish, however we do not allow masks or other face disguising techniques. Trust us this is for the public’s safety. It is too easy for a customer, in a mask, to do something inappropriate and then you, or us, have no way to identify them. We also do not allow props with your costumes – these are dangerous to our actors. If you bring them they will be held for you at the ticket booth and must be left there.

Can I bring my pet(s)?

Sorry, no. Although we’d love to meet your furry friend — we have plenty of our own! — pets are not allowed at Reapers Realm because most city animals are not familiar with forest animals and they may not play nicely together.

Are there age restrictions?

Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. But if you bring younger children it really depends on your child. If you have a child that can watch scary movies and isn t frightened, then they are probably OK to go through. However, if the child is easily startled or frightened by scary images, you may want to wait until they are a little bit older. No refunds will be provided.
